Priva Shave Power Shave Post Shave Treatment For Ingrown Hairs, Razor Bumps, Skin Redness and Rashes Women
Game Changing NEW Formulation!
The new improved Power and Priva Shave post shave treatment is excellent for attacking the problem of ingrown hairs. An ingrown hair is one which has grown back into the skin, instead of rising up from it. This can result in irritation, a raised bump, and reddening of the skin.
To address this issue, our product uses a number of key ingredients, including alpha-hydroxy acids (AHA’s), Glycolic acid and Lactic Acid.In addition, Power/ Priva Shave also contains the cosmetic wonder : hyaluronic acid.
We could have stopped here, but we went even further in order to deliver a product which has high effectiveness. Included in our serum is an extract from the flowers of the prickly pear plant. This cactus contains special enzymes which help to soothe irritation and gently exfoliate the outer layers of skin, so that inflamed ingrown hairs can be calmed and released.
We also include a gently scented base of witch hazel, lavender flower water, and chamomille extract, to soothe and calm the skin in a natural and effective manner.
This combination of ingredients has never before been seen in this type of product, and we are proud to offer it. As we look at other competitor’s products, we remain convinced that our approach is superior. We don’t use harsh drying alcohols, or glycols produced from petroleum. We don’t use silicones, which are synthetic and can build up on the skin. We don’t use ingredients that include poly(ethylene glycol) groups, which can potentially contain dangerous levels of a known toxin.
ABOUT OUR KEY INGREDIENTS:
Alpha-hydroxy acids are very powerful and sought-after ingredients in cosmetics. Their primary purpose is to loosen up the skin cells in the outer layers of the skin (corneocytes). This makes the skin more flexible, so that the trapped, ingrown hairs can escape. They also increase the moisture level of the skin. Used in higher amounts, the alpha-hydroxy acids can help the outer layer of skin to exfoliate, which also helps to free the trapped ingrown hairs. This exfoliation removes the uppermost layers of skin revealing skin that appears fresher, smoother, and more hydrated. There are several different AHAs to choose from. Glycolic acid is one of the most popular, and we make it a central component of our serum. The size of the molecule is just right to help penetrate the built-up layers of skin on the upper levels and reach the skin underneath. Lactic acid is also popular, and featured in our product. Because it’s a little larger molecule, it goes to work primarily on the outer layers of skin. Between the glycolic acid and the lactic acid, our serum offers the two most popular alpha-hydroxy acids in one product, at a total strength of 5% AHAs total. We also include malic acid, tartaric acid, and citric acid, to round out the selection of AHAs; each has slightly different qualities, and so we offer a balanced blend.
Our serum also includes hyaluronic acid. This is one of the most powerful moisturisers available in cosmetic products. Many serums use minimal amounts of the hyaluronic acid, because of its high cost. We think that consumers deserve a high-quality product, and include this ingredient at effective concentrations. It helps to plump up the skin cells with moisture and also softens the skin surface. There are very few moisturizing ingredients more powerful than hyaluronic acid, and we use it in a healthy dose.
Following this formulation philosophy of using materials found in Nature, we’ve included allantoin. This is found in the comfrey plant. It acts as a moisturizer and also helps the skin to gently exfoliate, resulting in a “fresher, rejuvenated” appearance of the skin. We’ve also added pro-Vitamin B5 (panthenol), which has many positive benefits. It soothes and softens skin by reducing Transepidermal Water Loss (TEWL). It can also help to minimize itching, which makes it ideal for any skin repair situation.
Willow Bark Extract
Willow bark extract. This contains a natural beta-hydroxy acid which promotes exfoliation and has soothing properties. It also has some antimicrobial properties, which can be useful for a number of skin conditions. In vitro tests have shown willow bark extract to have activity against Staphylococcus aureus and Propionibacterium acnes, two strains of bacteria implicated in the formation of acne.
